We like a 250 million dollar spectacle about spaceships or superheroes as much as the next person. Ditto sprawling, generational period pieces or globe-trotting action films. We just don’t make them.

What we do make is films that tell big stories on a small stage.

We like character-driven, intimate, tactile films that take place in grounded, believable worlds. But that doesn’t mean kitchen sink dramas. We love a high-concept, a thrilling twist or a hybrid approach to storytelling.

We want Memento more than Dark Knight, Eternal Sunshine Of more than A Beautiful Mind, Primer more than Passengers.

We may not have the resources of the majors, but we have a lot more creative freedom and a lot less red tape.

We’re starting small. But that’s just the beginning.

Every good story has to start there anyways.
